Johnny
After a hardcore party at his friend’s house, Fred walked back home using the only shortcut he knew best: The dark alleyway. Usually he felt secure going through that route until this very night. A dark silhouette approached him. The moonlight lit his face, revealing a smirk which creeped Fred out.
“Do you want an adventure?” The stranger asked. He didn’t reply. Suddenly the stranger started waving his arms wildly like from the Humba Humba show (which Fred loved) followed by a sky-blue aura that surrounded them both. A void sucked them both in, travelling at the speed of light. They landed at a field but when Fred looked up, there was something wrong. The world they were in was... Colourless. The only sources of colour shone from Fred. “How do I get out of here!!!!” Fred asked frantically.
“You must climb Mount Lol to get out of here... but be warned, it is guarded by cute little death ponies” he explained “oh and my name is Johnny “ he announced.
Fred started his way up, seeing no danger around. Then a few minutes later, he reached a small platform on the mountain, deciding to camp there. Fred laid his head down on a pile of fresh dirt hoping to get enough sleep to replenish his energy for tomorrow. He woke up later and looked up in the sky - there was a bright, dull circle in the sky which he perceived as the sun. He continued towards the peak, coming across little dancing skeletons of miniature horses... which changed in an instant. Before he could pass them, they grew to the size of cavalry horses, and blocked his path. He threw a rock, a stick and a pie... yes, a pie Anyways he hit one of the skeleton’s knee, which wobbled and crumbled like a tower of dominoes. He continued what he did to that horse and did it to the others, toppling all of them and reaching the top.
At the top he only saw an apple, mysteriously glowing. “ You must digest some of this apple without biting it” Johnny said. Fred juiced it and digested its juice then he was surrounded by a fiery aura which teleported him back home, only to find Johnny sitting down on Fred’s coffee table eating all his cookies.

Busted!
I thought this movie was one of the funniest because there was a twist at the end of the story. Thanks for the well constructed movie!

My Doubts of Sewing
I held a green piece of felt in my hands with my insides churning with doubt. “WillI forget to put the presser foot (which is a metal foot holding the needle) down and muck it all up like I always do? Will I spam the felt with holes and no thread?” Thoughts like those swarmed my brain like a hornet’s nest inside my head.
Ignoring the doubt, I carefully placed my felt under the presser foot and switched its lever down, locking the foot down on the material. Upon stepping on the pedal, the sewing machine a.k.a Bernina made an eerie, mutant-like noise, as if a monster was resurrected from the movie: ‘Aliens vs Predators’ whilst stitching an elegant pattern on the felt.
After a few more patterns stitched, I finally binded a piece of felt over the rest with a functional stitch, there crafting a money pouch. With the support of Mrs Dines and the teachings of Mrs Scott and Miss Beryl, I have finally learnt how to use a sewing machine

The Disappearance of the Stars during Daytime
We are learning to use the features of explanation writing to inform or to convey a message to others.
The Disappearance of the Stars during Daytime
On a clear night, people young and old can gaze up to the heavens and see the twinkling sparkling stars. But what happens to the stars during the day? Do they simply just disappear? Is there a mysterious gigantic vacuum cleaner that comes out at dawn and sucks them all up only to blow them back out again at night? If you have ever wondered or if I have you thinking the following explanation tells you what really happens to these natural night-lights of the night sky.
The stars and the moon are like our night lights for the sky. The sun (our main source of light) goes to the other side of the world as the world revolves around the sun. But when the sun comes back up, the light of the sun counteracts the brightness of the stars, therefore making them invisible on the atmosphere. Even though we rotate, there are still stars all around earth however they are just billions of miles away, just outside our galaxy - the milky way. Though the sun may look way bigger and brighter than the other stars, it is really just a medium sized star. The appearance of its size in comparison to the night stars is also due to the fact that it is It closer to the Earth’s atmosphere. When night returns again, the Earth’s face (wherever you may live) will turn away from the sun and will make its way to face the moon and several stars and constellations are once again visible.
Imagine that... one star shines brighter than billions of others

The True Symbol of the Games
Every four years, a memorable event happens which brings the whole world together.
That event, is the Olympic games. It is represented by the Olympic flag which has a white background perceived as the colour of peace. Embedded within the white background may be the true meaning and purpose of the games - the five interlocking Olympic rings.
Originally designed in 1912 based on an ancient Greek artifact, Baron Pierre de Coubertin encrypted these symbolic five rings into a white background in 1914, then later presented it to the whole world. Today it is recognised by different names like the Antwerp flag as it was presented in the Antwerp games in 1920. It unites the five continents that are involved in the games: Africa, The Americas, Australasia, Asia and Europe.
It is today recognised as an icon symbolising unity and peace, which has definitely brought the whole world together and will hopefully continue to do so in the future.

Your Typical 'Good-At-Sports' dude
We've been learning about personal and private information online. We have been learning to decide what personal information is safe to share online.
Kia Ora, My name is Jose.
I come from the Philippines where it is quite hot. I have a sister who is six years older than me and a brother who is a year younger than me. I flew to New Zealand in 2007 and started to go school there in the same year. I go to a catholic school called ‘St. Patrick’s'. I like subjects such as maths, science and writing. I enjoy food such as sweet and sour pork, fried rice and chicken nuggets. I am 12 years old and I am a year 8. I have a hobby in researching about wildlife in the sea and haunted places so I hope to one day get a career in marine biology. I am a sporty character that likes soccer, golf, basketball, baseball… well let's just put it as like I love any sports. To wrap it all up, I am your typical 12 year old boy that loves food, sports and school! (and being pretty brainy too!)
Hope you enjoyed reading this! :)
